No one talks about the second half of growing up that women go through when they leave their teenage years. Our hips grow. Our breasts grow. Our stomachs grow. We become wider and softer. Something that helped me through this transition was a pair of thrifted shorts I got when I was 16. I finally fit into them as a 21 year old and it finally made me feel like I fit in me.

I grew up in a family of five sisters and have two younger ones. I decided to show my sisters that they are made to grow. I sewed adjustable waistbands into pants they found, but did not fit into yet. We decorated the pants into garments they would be excited to grow into. I stylized, shot and edited a photoshoot to capture the experience and create a lasting memory for them.
